lovely original large-format art deco travel brochure, guidebook and viewbook
relating to New Zealand. Published in New Zealand in 1927 by the NZ Government
Publicity Office. Opening with a color lithographic view of tourists staring in
awe at Mount Cook by William Allan Bollard, a roundel of the same scene also
appears as a paste-down on the front wrapper. Further illustrations by Bollard
throughout, along with many tinted color and sepia-toned photographs by,
William C Burrell and others. Captioned in English. Bound in textured card
wrappers, with lithographs titles and ornamentation. Including images of
Southland’s Manapouri (Lake of the Hundred Isles), the Wanganui River, Great
Barrier Island, Auckland, Evergreen Native Forest, Lake Te Anu, Warrington,
Dunedin, and many other locations. Period New Zealand Tourist Stamps at front.
